Boss Island Guide

Boss Island is the new hub added in the Rise Piece update that also introduced the teleport system, Excalibur, Homelander, and Boss Upgrades. This page covers how to reach the island, how boss summoning works, and what you can earn from spending time there.

The island is not a level-grinding spot. It is a material farm for two named items and a permanent upgrade track. If you came here looking for a new leveling route, use the leveling guide instead. If you came for Excalibur or Homelander, the dedicated guides are how to get Excalibur and how to get Homelander.

How to reach Boss Island

The update that added Boss Island also added a teleport system. Open the menu and look for the teleport option. Select Boss Island to travel there directly. If the teleport option does not appear, fully relaunch the Roblox experience — the feature requires the latest client.

Boss summoning

Boss Island has two named bosses:

  • Excalibur Boss — costs 1 Boss Key per summon
  • Homelander Boss — costs 5 Boss Keys per summon

Boss Keys drop from powerful bosses across all islands. There is no single confirmed farm location. Creators suggest clearing every named boss you encounter on your island route.

What bosses drop

Both bosses drop materials needed for the respective spec or sword:

BossKeysDrops
Excalibur Boss1Excalibur Sword, Bearer of Excalibur Title
Homelander Boss5Homelander Cape, Homelander Head, VA Emblems, I am the best Title

Both bosses also drop Boss Shards, which fund the permanent Boss Upgrades system.

Boss Shards and Boss Upgrades

After defeating either boss, you earn Boss Shards. These are spent on the new Boss Upgrades menu, which permanently increases:

  • Melee
  • Defense
  • Sword
  • Special
  • Luck

Upgrades are account-wide. Spending shards on these stats makes future boss farms faster, which creates a positive loop for players who focus on Boss Island content.

New teleport system

The teleport feature lets you travel directly between major islands without running. This is especially useful for Boss Island content because:

  • You can quickly return to Starter Island to use the Craft NPC for Compound V
  • You can bounce between islands to collect Boss Keys from different bosses
  • You save time that would otherwise be spent sailing

Relaunch the game if you do not see the teleport option.

How to use this island in your route

Boss Island is not a replacement for the island progression described in the leveling guide. It is a parallel content track that becomes relevant once you have:

  1. A working katana or better weapon
  2. Enough Zeni to afford the exchange NPC costs (3.5M for Excalibur, 15M for Homelander)
  3. A stack of Boss Keys saved up

For new pirates: focus on the early guides first. Redeem codes, buy a katana, follow the leveling route, and claim working codes before you invest time in boss farming.
